Paint by Numbers

This week at Child's Play Challenges  is a craft challenge!

The inspiration is:

I decided to dig up some really old pictures and my children look like babies! *insert tears here*

Can't believe this was almost a year and half ago! Life is zooming by!

Another sketch!

I love sketches, and I love blogs that are full of sketch challenges! My Scraps and More Sketches is a fun blog that has challenges to win fun prizes!

Here is the sketch:

and here is my layout:

I just love scrapping old pictures of my kids. It takes me back to the days when they were this little, and Kylee barely had hair!

The Paper Bakery Sketch Challenge

A month or so ago, I discovered this amazing kit club called The Paper Bakery and instantly subscribed to their scrapbook kits. They are WORTH IT! Anyway, they started a sketch challenge on their blog and I believe this is the first one! My absolute fave sketch designer designed the first sketch, so I of course jumped right on board!

Here is the sketch by the lovely Juliana Michaels..

And here is my layout that follows this sketch quite closely.

The picture of the layout is a bit crooked because I have not figured out how to take an awesome pic of my page! That is a job in itself!

If you want to play along, hop over to The Paper Bakery blog and check it out!

B-I-N-G-O

This week's challenge is a Game Challenge! And Tiffany chose an awesome game to use for inspiration!
BINGOOOO!

I absolutely LOVE this game! I even play it on Facebook! I remember going to bingo nights with my family and trying to win money. Oh the memories!

I chose to use a little mini Bingo card on my page. This is one of my fave pics of my son learning to skateboard. I believe the Bingo card is from Echo Park (I fussy cut from a page) and the other page reminded me of the bingo numbers that light up when you play bingo online or on the bingo nights!

Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to stop by Child's Play Challenges and play along!!

Tin Robot

This week's challenge at Child's Play Challenges is a Classic Toy Challenge! The toy for inspiration was a tin robot!

My children don't play with toy robots, so I had to really think outside of the box on this one. I chose to take the belly of the robot and turn it into a sketch! I also used the colors from the robot on my layout as well.

Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to check out all of the challenges at Child's Play Challenges!

PURPLE!

Boy has it be a WHILE since I actually scrapped! We finally moved to Hawaii and received our first shipment of household goods! Which means, I received my scrap stuff! *Cheers* YAY! We also built a new scrap desk that holds all of my crafty stuff including the desktop! The main goal was to get the Cameo and the desktop on the same desk with plenty of space, and I must say it is AWESOME! (I will have to post a pic another day.) All of my previous pages were all done around the same time, which was months ago!

Anywhoo...
Let's get to why you are here in the first place! Child's Play Challenges of course! This week for the wonderful team A was a Storybook Challenge. A story I have never heard of, but that wasn't going to stop the creative juices!

My daughter's new favorite color is purple. Purple purple PURPLE! I knew I just HAD to scrap her!
(The sun is a bit harsh in Hawaii) This is a picture of my daughter at our old house in Charleston. The yard was huge and boy did she love to just run run run! She was a little over a year in this picture, but it is one my faves! I must admit it is a little sad seeing her with barely any hair in this pic. She has a head full now!

I obviously chose to use the color purple from the book as my inspiration for this page. I used a sketch from Creative Scrappers #238 that was created by the wonderful Juliana! The butterflies were made from the paint sample cards from Lowe's! Yes, I did leave a few at the store for the people who really wanted to buy paint! hehe!

I am ready to see what you all create and don't forget to link up at Child's Play Challenges! Thanks for stopping by!
