The Paper Bakery Sketch #5!

I have been slacking on The Paper Bakery sketches! I think I used 1 or two of the previous ones for DT work and couldn't share them before a certain date! So, I had to miss out on those challenges! But, this time I am able to participate! It was such a cool sketch by Juliana ! I also sent this page in for the Bo Bunny design team call! I will have to make another post for my other work for that. Anyway, on to the sketch!

I am obsessed with the little banners right now, so I had to jump on this one! Here is my layout:

Thanks for stopping by!

Radio Flyer

There is another challenge happening at Child's Play Challenges right now! It is a classic toy challenge and this is inspiration:

A Radio Flyer wagon!

We actually have the new generation version of the Radio Flyer. We bought it to pull the kids around the zoo a few years ago, and that thing has been handy! We would pull them on our daily walks around the neighborhood and everything! Worth the money! On to the reason you hopped over to my blog!

My son was pulling my husband and daughter up and down the sidewalk when he was about 4 years old. He   actually pulled then for a while! Little trooper!

I used Juliana Michaels technique on my title. She recently posted about cutting the title multiple times and gluing them all together (one on top of the other) to create dimension to the title. I LOVE this idea. I use it quite a bit now. I love the chipboard feel it gives the title, even if it's not really chipboard!

This layout was based on sketch #30 from My Scraps and More Sketches. Love their sketches!

Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to stop by Child's Play Challenges and join the fun!

The Lorax

This week at Child's Play Challenges , the challenge is a storybook challenge. The inspiration book is:

I actually have not read this book OR seen the movie! I know! I do intend on watching the movie one day. It looks like it is another very cute Dr. Seuss movie. I loved his books as a child, and I love reading them to my children now!

Here is my take on this challenge:

I used the colors from the cover for this page! Isn't Kylee adorable with that angry birds hat?

NSD Sketch Challenge

I took on the NSD sketch challenge at The Paper Bakery! It was a pretty cool sketch!

I had the perfect 3 pictures for his sketch! I had to dig deep into my huge pile of pictures that NEED to be scrapped to find them. They are pictures of Kylee's very first Halloween! 2010! YIKES!

She was so stinkin adorable in that elephant costume. I don't think she enjoyed nearly as much as I did!

Thanks for stopping by!

Christmas Morning...2011

I found an awesome sketch at My Scraps and More Sketches blog. Sketch #25.

It is so different than my usual style, so I had to participate!

Now, I know these are not the traditional colors for Christmas, but I love these pics! This is Kylee's 2nd Christmas and the 1st Christmas that she actually cared enough to rip open gifts! It is hard to tell in the pic because of lighting and what-not but the background paper actually matches the color of her jammies in the pic. It is hard to snap a pic in the perfect lighting, etc. Hop over to My Scraps & More Sketches and play!

Paper Bakery Sketch #2

Paint by Numbers

This week at Child's Play Challenges  is a craft challenge!

The inspiration is:

I decided to dig up some really old pictures and my children look like babies! *insert tears here*

Can't believe this was almost a year and half ago! Life is zooming by!
