Bo Bunny Challenge

My absolute favorite manufacturer Bo Bunny is having a sketch challenge! I <3 sketches almost as much as I love Bo Bunny! The sketch is awesome, but I did find myself struggling with it. I think it was because I did not have two vertical pictures that went together, so I had to use one horizontal picture. But, it is a challenge after all.

Here is the sketch. Fun, right?

Here is my take on the sketch. It isn't my favorite best layout, but it is one of my favorite pics of my baby girl!
I decided to do a little doodling on this page, so here is a close up of some of the little doodles. I could not find my white gel pen *tears* so I couldn't doodle on the picture like I had planned. But, if the pen turns up I will make so to get my doodle on with the photo!

Lazy Bum

That is what I have been all week! My scrap mojo has gone out the window! :/ AH! I even got my lovely Mother's Day package in the mail this week that was full of yummy scrap goodies! I always lose my mojo when I get a nice big scrap package because I am so overwhelmed with all of the new goodness. I never know where to start! I literally have some pictures and paper on my desk just sitting there. Staring at me. Calling my name. It has been there all week. I think I want to scrap but when I attempt, my mind just blanks. I am going to post a few pages I did a week or two ago that will hopefully boost my mojo and scrap with my new stuff!

A little close up of the pop dotted clothes line. Isn't that little clothes line so adorable? I used my button pop dots method on this one too!

I believe I made this one a few weeks ago but never got around to sharing it. Her face in these pictures are priceless!
A close up of the embellies. I also did a little doodling on this page. Doodling is a lot of fun! I need to do it more often!

I am off to look for my mojo so I can put all of the new supplies  to good use!

Ding Dong!

I am sure we can all remember that horrific day back in 2001 when the Twin Towers were hit by the airplanes and took many innocent American lives. I personally was in the 10th grade in English class. I remember walking into class, sitting down, and the teacher turning on the television so we can try to figure out what was going on. It felt weird to even finish class that day knowing many families in NYC were suffering. That day has impacted this nation for a decade.

Fast forward 10 years later. Do you remember where you were when you heard that Osama Bin Laden was DEAD?! I do! Caleb, his friend Ben, and I were up late playing board games. (I know, cheesy right?) Anyway, Caleb received a text from his brother saying that OBL was dead. Yes, we play board games with the television off! We immediately turn on the television and there it is in big bold letters on the bottom of the screen, "Breaking News: Osama Bin Laden is dead." What great news!

The next day we made sure to buy a newspaper because we already have one from the day after the towers fell. I wanted to remember this day because it is a day that will impact this country as well. Creative Scrappers posted #208 sketch and as soon as I saw it, I knew what picture I would use!

Isn't it a great sketch? I thought so too. Here is my take on this awesome sketch! I used Bo Bunny's Liberty collection for this layout. I love all of the little embellishments that came with the collection!
Here are a few up close shots of some of my favorite little embellishments. I actually ran out of pop dots (Yes, that REALLY happened!) So I decided to get really creative and use buttons to pop some of my embellishments. It actually worked out perfectly! The star in the middle of the striped circle is "pop dotted" with a button! It really is a great alternative to pop dots if you need one in a pinch. ;)
I love this "Uncle Sam" hat! It just screams America! The sticker behind the hat says "celebrate freedom."

Hope you enjoyed my take on the sketch and I hope you head on over to Creative Scrappers and check out all of the fabulous reveals over there! You don't want to miss out! :)

Until next time,

I love Saturdays!

I recently became a t-ball mom. We became a t-ball family. We decided to sign our hyper active 3 year old up for a sport. I believe he is the youngest on the team, and he definitely has the most energy! All of the other children area at least 4 so they understand the game a little better than Ryan. He loves to bat and forgets which base to run to. We laugh for 3 innings straight. I know he enjoys every minute of it, well he enjoys every minute of batting. He doesn't have the attention span to stand in the field and wait for a ball to come his way, but he is learning! I know he will get better with time. I love to see him interacting with all of the other little t'ballers. He has become really close to one little boy named Landon and they chat and hang out on the bench together when their team is up to bat. It is adorable! I look forward to Saturdays because it is so fun to watch him play, even if he isn't the all star. Did I mention how adorable he is in his little uniform? It is soo cute I can't stand it! Their team name is a professional baseball team and they wear the same colors the MLB teams. They also gave them hats that look exactly like the ones the MLB players wear. All of the little uniforms are so adorable! Of course, San Francisco Giants have the cutest uniforms on the field!  I love Saturdays!

I'll end it with a few pictures from today's game against the Marlins. Ryan bats last every game, and when the final batter hits, he doesn't stop at first base like the others. He runs through all of the bases like he hit a homerun. I know that is his favorite moment of the game. He is actually a pretty good hitter!

The final "high fives" of the game. This part is just so cute. Our team didn't know which hand to stick out so one of the coaches had to run down the line and push the wrong hand down and lift up the correct hand. Too funny!
I made my baby girl a shirt so she could be a part of the team. Everyone thought they gave me that shirt or I bought it. They were shocked to find out that I actually made it! We could not find a 2T shirt anywhere so we had to buy her a Youth Small. It was a little big, okay a LOT big on her so I cut up the bottom of the shirt and tied the shoulders up with black ribbon. Perfect. Everyone now knows who she belongs to. :)
 GO GIANTS!

Surfin' the 'Net

Yesterday, I was surfing around on the internet and came across a really awesome scrapbooking blog. It is called Creative Scrappers and offers sketches for you to use on your layouts. I LOVE sketches. They have tons and tons to look through and use. I also noticed they have a Creative Team call going on and I thought to myself, " Well, I love sketches anyway so why not send in an application?" So I went ahead and sent in the application and all of that fun stuff and *cross fingers* hope that I make the cut next month. It is my first CT I have ever applied for! Exciting stuff! Anyway, I used a few of their sketches to create some new layouts!

This layout was inspired by Creative Scrapper's sketch #2.
I used *surprise surprise* more Bo Bunny for this layout. This is the Barefoot and Bliss collection. I actually won this collection last summer during one of their giveaways! But I loved it so much, that I actually bought more a few weeks later because it is so pretty!  I am also on a sewing kick so I have been putting my sewing machine to work!

This layout was inspired by their #202 sketch. I know I already scrapped a picture of Kylee in this particular swimsuit, but it was just too adorable not to scrap another! Can you guess what manufacture I used on this one? That's right, more Bo Bunny! I couldn't resist using this collection again because of the purple and teal. It matched her little swimsuit beautifully! Another reason I had to scrap this pic was because she is actually smiling in it. I wanted to make sure she knew it wasn't the swimsuit she was so unhappy about. :)

I think I have a few more layouts that are fairly recent that I will post another day!

Recent page/favorite page

This is one of my most recent pages! I used Bo Bunny Peacock Lane collection. I love the purple and teal together! The blue color behind the layout is not actually part of the page, it is just a paper it was laying on when I snapped this pic! :)

This is my favorite layout so far! I love the Liberty collection by Bo Bunny, and this was just an overall fun day!

I don't want to post every layout I have ever done, but I thought I would start with my most recent and my favorite. There will be many more layouts to come in the future!

Joining the blog world!

I decided to start a blog to share my scrapbook pages and brag about my beautiful family. :)
